This collection consists of video cassettes documenting the House of Delegate elections and panels of the 116th Annual Conference of the Texas Medical Association, which occurred in Houston May 18-20, 1983.
The tapes were found with other audiovisual materials in the archive. Many of these materials circulated through the audiovisual department. The collection appears complete and unique, and it offers documentation of the event. The content was produced by the communication department of UT Health Science Center Houston.

Memorial Hospital Photograph Collection
The Memorial Hospital Photograph Collection contains 4039 photographic prints and negatives from 1903 to 1976 that chronicle the long history of the Memorial Hospital System (originally Baptist Sanitarium and Hospital). The photographs depict the staff, physicians, personnel, departments, nursing school students, faculty and Lillie Jolly (director), facilities and building construction of the Memorial Hospital System. The earliest dated photograph is the only nitrate negative (P-3387). It depicts Louisville Male High School graduating class of 1903, which includes Roger Jolly. It is in good condition. There is a separate series of about 31 photographs donated by Lela Smith Hickey that depict the nurses, nursing students, physicians, and facilities of Memorial Hospital in 1932, including the operating room supervisor “Birdie” Byrd. The entire collection equals 3.5 cubic feet and includes 7 boxes. Materials are in good condition.

This series contains 31 photographs taken or collected by Lela Smith Hickey while she was a nursing student at Memorial Hospital (Baptist Sanitarium) in 1932. She or her family donated the collection to Memorial Hospital sometime before 1979. Photographs depict nurses, nursing students, hosptial staff, physicians, and facilites of Memorial Hospital in 1932. inventory provides descriptive information and year for each item with the quantity of photographs (in square brackets, [ ]).
