Subseries III. Oral History Interviews

This series contains transcripts, agreements, and any other supporting documentation related to Oral History interviews. The recorded interviews themselves are found in the Audiovisual sub-series.

Subseries D: Publications

This subseries contains university publications. It includes handbooks for topics in teaching, handbooks for predental advising, student guides for the school and programs of study offered by the school, library resource guides and Brochures. It also includes The Special Patient, Post graduate manuals and video tape catalogs. The materials are in excellent condition. 2.5 Cubic feet (5 boxes).

Subseries II: Illustrations; 1949 - 1969

Scope and Content Note: This series contains original artwork used inside The Cancer Bulletin journal issues to illustrate stories and articles. The title of the article is used as the title of the illustration if it is located on the title page of the article, if not then a literal description of the illustration is used as its title. The name of the artist for each illustration is included in the descriptions if known.

Subseries E: Events

Scope and Content Note: This subseries contains information and ephemera for various events hosted by or for the UT Dental Branch. The materials are in excellent condition. .5 Cubic feet (1 box).

Subseries A: Menninger Staff Publications.

This subseries includes articles and copies of medical journals in which the Menningers and staff members published papers. Journals include International Journal of Psycho-Analysis, Psychiatric Studies and Projects, and The Psychiatric Forum. This subseries is organized alphabetically by journal title.

Subseries I: Cover Art

Scope and Content Note: This series contains the original artwork used for Cancer Bulletin front and back covers. The artworks are either hand-drawn illustrations or paintings - unless otherwise noted. The artwork has been arranged by format and then chronologically by publication date. Artwork that was painted on canvas has been placed in separate boxes from those that were painted on paper and paper on board. Oversized items are in oversized boxes, and artwork that has remained in frames has been separated and is in the garment artifact framed (GAF) section.

Subseries I: Cover Art; 1952 - 1970

Scope and Content Note: This series contains the artwork used for The Heart Bulletin front and back covers. The artworks are original hand-drawn illustrations and paintings, unless otherwise noted. Front cover artwork that was painted on canvas has been placed in separate boxes. The back cover artwork for The Heart Bulletin featured cartoon drawings of a red atery and a blue vein accompanied by a quote about cardiovascular theory from notable physicians or philosphers. The back cover artwork is described by the name of the person that is quoted if it is a printed version of the artwork, if it is the original artwork – a description of what is depicted in the artwork is used.
