Envelope contains the leather wallet or coin purse made in Italy and its contents. Items found inside include:
a chain with engraved, "E. W. B." [Dr. Bertner's initials]
a single clover cufflink with alternating black and red petals and letters M, M, I, [N].
a silver US dollar, 1889, dated the same year as Dr. Bertner's birth.

Black and white, images are predominately of architecture (houses and churches). Content of images includes, but is not limited to: Dr. Brown's Institute, Broad Street, the Soldier's Monument, and Exchange Street [Town Hall, Unitarian Church, Cook and Simonds, etc. (determined by comparing buildings to 1855 map found here: https://www.digitalcommonwealth.org/search/commonwealth:zw12z7878)]

Photographers noted include: Geo. T. Putnam [George?], George L. Chapman, Harding Jenkins, Garris T. Randol [or Raudol?]

The items acquired by Mr. Detering from Margolis & Moss are split between two folders. A photocopy of the Margolis & Moss 'collection' description was added to this folder for reference. This folder contains the items that do not appear to have been part of the exhibit, whereas the other folder contains the exhibit script and the items likely displayed in the exhibit.
