The papers of Dr. Seybold are made up primarily of office files, correspondence and memoranda, newsclippings, articles, committee meeting minutes and reports; the working files of a prominent Houston physician who at one time or another served as chief of staff at St. Luke's Episcopal Hospital, partner and chief of staff of the KelseySeybold Clinic, president of the Texas Surgical Society, member of the University of Texas Committee of 75 and the Centennial Commission. They document his career from late in his surgical residency to his retirement from private practice in 1979.

The 82 boxes occupy 52 cubic feet. A large portion of the collection is a record of Dr. Seybold's professional involvement with the Clinic, hospitals and medical organizations. It has been retained in much the same order in which it was received, arranged alphabetically where applicable and arranged chronologically where possible within the series and within the files. Removed from the collection and redistributed in the library as needed were a sizeable number of journals and newsletters. Also removed from the collection and placed in the Historical Research Center Photograph Collection were many photographs, where they were indexed and cataloged. Duplicates of reports and reprints already in the collection were discarded.

The University of Texas Dental Branch records includes historical information from 1906-1997 about the University of Texas Dental Branch formerly known as the Texas Dental College. The collection includes items such as photographs and elevation drawings for the building that was built in the 1950s. The collection also includes information about the accreditation of the school as well as it's curriculum. Curriculum resources include teacher guides, study materials, and course catalogs and schedules.

The collection also directories from UT Dental Branch as well as Texas Dental Journal and Houston District Dental Society. There is information on student graduation dating back to 1906. There is ephemera from various school events such as ground breaking, centennial celebration, and various guest speakers. There are publications in this collection including handbooks, student guides, brochures, video tape catalogs and research manuals. There are articles, library history, memorandums and information about the law that govern dentistry.

This collection consists of records including catalogs, brochures, annual report, six-year plan, 1979 roster, and information memorandum from the University of Texas, School of Nursing The materials were created between 1978-2006.

The University of Texas School of Public Health (SPH) records contains records from the School, as well as related programs and topics. The majority of the collection is made up of copies of the SPH Calendar from 1978-1983 and the SPH Catalog from 1971-1995. Also included are photographic rosters, announcements, and other printed materials. There are several reports connected to programs, seminars, or research. There is also one VHS Tape containing the 2000 James H. Steele Lecture on the topic of "Bioterrorism."

Materials in the collection date from approximately 1967 to 2008. The bulk of the materials were created between 1970 and 1995.

Armstrong, MD papers contains professional correspondence, personal correspondence, family papers, institutional documents, institutional publications, research, medical data, memos, minutes, newspaper clippings, legal documents, insurance documentation, and professional diaries that document the career and life of Dr. John T. Armstrong. The collection consists of 12 boxes equaling 6 cubic feet.

Dr. Armstrong is mainly associated with his involvement with Houston Herman Hospital, The Houston Academy of Medicine, the Texas Medical Center, the Texas Medical Center Library, and has been published in the Southern Medical Journal, Journal of the Southern Medical Association. John T. Armstrong served on various committees at the Houston Academy of Medicine, where he served such appointments as president. Dr. Armstrong was heavily involved in the field of obstetrics and gynecology. His records include: his professional correspondence; his medical publications; family papers; professional diaries and ledgers; and his affiliated medical organizations’ publications.

The University of Texas Health Science Center at Houston, School of Nursing, Center on Aging records consists of four processed boxes and eighteen unprocessed boxes. The processed portion of the collection contains papers relating to the Joseph C. Sr. and Selenia E. Valley Conference. There are photos, papers, memos, and ephemera related to the Valley Conference. The Valley conference was an annual event in September to improve the quality of care for older adults by providing access to elder care innovations to community caregivers. The Valley family history is also included in this collection.
