This collection consists of a small tapestry measuring 32 inches long by 17.5 inches wide. Tapestry is a woven scene of "Atom-Bomb Dome" in Hiroshima. English language text on the upper left reads "The Peace Park with Atom-Bomb Dome." The language in the lower right reads "The City of Hiroshima. Tapestry measuring 32 inches long by 17.5 inches wide. Collection consists of one cubic foot (1 oversize box).

Deed-3. The box containing this item was found in the archives stacks. It was labeled as a gift from "Dr. Shigematsu." Research in the archive records revealed that the donor is SHIGEMATSU Itsuzo.

Immediate source of acquisition

Control folder includes copy of thank-you from Elizabeth Borst White to KODAMA Kazunori, MD, for donation of the tapestry, 1995. Dr. Kodama apparently brought the tapestry in person on behalf of Dr. Shigematsu during a visit to Houston.
