This collection was donated by Berne Black, the daughter of Bernard G. Efron. Dr. Efron was the first president of the American College of Allergists. He practiced in New Orleans.

Although the collection is not in good shape, it does contain valuable information for anyone interested in the study or history of allergies and allergy research.
