A premature infant lies in an incubator next to a ruler. An identification bracelet or band is on the infant's left arm. Photograph is used on page 106 of the book "Premature Infants: a Manual for Physicians" by Ethel C. Dunham, a Children's Bureau Publication no. 325, published 1948. Photograph from work of Dr. Lewis K. Sweet and Dr. Murdina Desmond of Gallinger Municipal Hospital, Washington, D.C. Black-and-white photograph measures 8" x 10".
