        Japanese parasite moulage
        MS 185 · Collection · circa 20th century

This moulage is Japanese in origin based on the use of hiragana, katakana and kanji characters in the text. The 3-dimensional representation of a human torso depicts various parasites and the foods with which the parasites are associated, including green leafy vegetables, fish and other types of seafood. The moulage was framed with a glass front. However the glass was chemically interacting with the printed text surrounding the moulage. The moulage was removed from the frame, placed in a clear polypropylene sleeve and boxed. The moulage contains its original backing.

Subjects: moulage of parasites with text about parasite vectors, including fish and vegetables.
